Winter 2020 Update
Good Day Everyone,
I wanted to take an opportunity to update our entire Mobilize extended family on the state of the program and the actions we at HQ are taking to ensure the health and safety of all our program participants. First and foremost, a big thank you to all of you for your calls, emails, and examples of endurance during these chaotic times. Mobilize Jobs and Mobilize Jobs USA are still fully operational, with recruitment still ongoing for our summer session. Due to local travel restrictions, we have seen some delays in our seasonal starts, but we continue to screen, interview, and prepare our job seekers for their future adventures. While scheduled start dates will change reflective of circumstance, we will prioritize our candidates for all active and future roles on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates will only be eligible for the waitlist after they have completed all the required steps in the onboarding process (references, background checks, orientation).
For our Mobilizers that are still being relocated during the COVID-19 pandemic, strict quarantine procedures will be in effect for two weeks upon arrival to your placements.
To our loyal placement partners and tourism operators, you have been hit harder than anyone during this crisis. Your tenacity is inspiring. We will continue to support you in every way possible and maintain open communication during this ever-changing situation.
To all active Mobilizers that have been affected by this virus. Your status in the program is unchanged, and you will be offered the first available positions to either return to your previous location or if it is not available, select a new placement. Please remain active on our internal group and check your email regularly for updates.
To our future Mobilize applicants and waitlist members. Your enthusiasm, hope, and excitement are a treasured resource. Use this time to research unique locations across the country. Speak to past program participants and get packing/travel tips. Start filling out your adventure bucket list and building road trip playlists (and please share them, I am running out of music). While we are stuck inside, nature is flourishing in our parks and on our trails. Use your time wisely and get ready. Adventure is calling to us from the finish line and for those lucky enough to be prepared, a once in a lifetime experience will be waiting for you.
In the meantime, the incredibly hard-working and passionate individuals I get to work (from home) with every day will be interviewing and communicating on our social channels. Ask us questions, share photos and memories with past participants, and as always, stay healthy and safe. You will need those lungs to be healthy when you are scaling a mountain at 10,000 feet.
Sincerely,
Benjamin Guth
